Nan is the Governmental Affairs and Public Relations Director for Harrison Industries, Gold Coast Recycling & Transfer Station and Agromin. She has a BA from CA State University Long Beach. She sits on numerous Boards throughout the region and has been honored as one of the Top 50 Business Woman by the Pacific Coast Business Times for eight consecutive years.

Karen grew up in Carpinteria and attended local schools. Married to Lin Graf, they have lived in Carpinteria for 20 years. Raising a daughter Lauren who is 17 and attends Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai. Together with her parents, John & Vera Welty, they run their cut flower business-Hilltop Flowers.

Leo is a Carpinteria Native with 29 years of banking experience. He is a member of the Carpinteria Lions Club. Leo is also a past President of the California Avocado Festival and served as board member for 7 years. He is a Carpinteria High School alumni, and is proud to be a part of this community.
Doralee S. Jacobson
Jack's Bistro & Famous Bagels 2016-2019
Doralee wanted to become a Chamber Board member so that she could participate and interact in the community in a more effective manner and show her enthusiasm for growing the Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce.
As CEO of Jacks Bistro & Famous Bagels she oversees the operations and strategically positions the company for growth and stability. While Jacks has been awarded Best Bagels in the Tri Counties for the last 20 years her goal and mission statement is to be the best company in the Tri Counties. Doralee attended Berkley and has a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Pasadena College. She had a successful Chiropractic practice for many years before moving to this area in 1991.
Curtis is a Native Carpinterian and Past President of the Carpinteria Lions Club. He is very involved in the community and serves on numerous Board of Directors, including the Carpinteria Education Foundation and Carpinteria Community Building Association.
Doug grew up on Long Island, NY and moved to California to attend the University of San Francisco. He has spent the majority of his career in San Francisco working for technology companies. In 2015, he and his wife decided they wanted a change in lifestyle, and to be closer to family – so they moved to Santa Barbara. He currently heads the Corporate Communications department at Procore. He and his wife have a small dog named Olive. Doug enjoys riding his bike instead of driving and surfs whenever he can.

Kathy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration and has over 25 years’ experience working with Medicare, Long Term Care, and Home Care. Kathy specializes in helping current retirees or those planning for retirement develop a personal plan. Both Kathy and her husband are Carpinteria High School Alumni.
Paul D. Wright
He is the Past-Chairman of the Board during 2009 and 2010 and Past President, 2010/2011, and an active member of the Rotary Club of Carpinteria. Paul is Chairman of Thrive Carpinteria; a community advisory board of The Carpinteria Children's Project and President of the Congregation of Faith Lutheran Church since 2011. He has also served as founding Chairman of Carpinteria First(First Friday) and as Commander of the local Base of U.S. Submarine Veterans Inc. Paul and his wife Cheryl have lived in Carpinteria since 2001.
Roland Rotz, PhD - Chairman of the Board
Dr. Roland Rotz is a clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy to the community. He specializes in assessment and treatmet for ADHD in aduls and children. Roland is past president of the Noon Rotary of Carpinteria and active in community affairs.
Caroline Alarcon - Chair-Elect

Caroline wanted to be a part of the continuing work of making Carpinteria a great city for businesses to grow and be successful. This included providing and taking advantage of networking opportunities and also giving back to the community. She has extensive experience as a supervisor within Santa Barbara County. She has leadership qualities in public engagement, fiscal responsibility, and strategic planning and has participated in writing policies and closely collaborating with other governmental agencies. Since becoming a member Caroline has also served as a Chamber Ambassador Liaison.
Micael Ensign - Immediate Past President
Michael is the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Carpinteria since its opening in April, 2000. He is current and Past-Chairman of the Board. As Past President and active member of the Rotary Club of Carpinteria he has also previously served on the boards of the Santa Barbara Conference & Visitor’s Bureau and Film Commission, and the Greater Santa Barbara Lodging & Restaurant Association.
Shelly Nunes - Treasurer
Shelley is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the accounting field. Her firm specializes in tax preparation, accounting and payroll processing serving both individuals and the business community. Shelley enjoys volunteering and participating in local events and spending time with family and friends, especially her three grandchildren.
Brian Falk - Secretary
Brian Falk Ph.Dc., L.Ac
Brian wanted to help both the other businesses in town and help serve the community. He brings with him knowledge from a variety of subjects and disciplines in health, psychology, education, horticulture, and public speaking. Brian is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and practices Acupuncture, Herbal Remedies, Medical Massage, Nutritional Counseling, and Transformational Breath work.
Terry Hickey Banks - Board Advisor

Terry is president of Hickey Bros. Land Co., Inc., a family owned commercial, residential and farming business. She is a Carpinteria native. Her family has been in Carpinteria since the early 1850’s. She is active in the community and enjoys spending time with family, traveling and camping.
Alliance Wealth Strategies 2015-Present
Anthony Castillo serves as Vice President for Alliance Wealth Strategies. Anthony began his career in finance working in the Carpinteria/Santa Barbara community in 1999. He has held various titles over the years, but customer service is the skill he is best known for. Today, Anthony provides operational management and support for the Alliance team. Additionally, he is active in the Santa Barbara community and has served as Executive Board Member for the Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club Foundation and board of the Carpinteria.
Dave is the City Manager for the City of Carpinteria. He began working for the City in 1999 and prior to that worked 13 years in city planning for Cathedral City in Riverside County. Dave is a member of the THRIVE Carpinteria Executive Committee, the South Coast Task Force on Youth Gangs, serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Carpinteria, the Finance Committee of Girls Inc., and volunteers with Carpinteria AYSO. Dave lives in Carpinteria with his wife, Trish. They have two daughters, Erin and Megan.
