Carpinteria Education Foundation (CEF) will host its 27th Annual Carp-a-Cabana, taking place at Carpinteria High School on Saturday, September 7, 2019, featuring a hosted bar, buffet dinner, music, live and silent auctions.
This year, CEF is proud to honor Elise Unruh, who has led the district’s highly acclaimed Performing Arts Program for more than 30 years. Elise has shared her passion for music and theater with multiple generations of students in our community. She teaches drama, vocal ensemble, and orchestra at the high school and band at both the middle and high schools. Elise is a wonderful advocate for the performing arts, and the advisor for Muses, Carpinteria High School’s fully inclusive drama club.
Last year, with the support of the surrounding community, we were able to launch a K-5 elementary arts program for the first time since 2004. This year, we will continue to fundraise to ensure that all district students have access to the arts.
Tickets are $85 per person and may be purchased at www.carpedfoundation.org. Tickets sold at the door will be $100 per person.
