POSTPONED The Carpinteria Valley Chamber is excited to announce a guided fall tour of Athens and The Greek Islands October 13-21, 2020. Travelers will enjoy a 9-day trip featuring amazing cities including Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini which boasts some of the most glorious history in the world. A Trip Preview will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 5:30PM at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Highlights of the trip includes an Athens City Tour featuring the Temple of Zeus, Ancient Olympic Stadium, and the Acropolis with its incredible Parthenon followed by a visit to the New Acropolis Museum. Cruise by high speed ferry to the island of Mykonos in the Aegean Sea for two nights on the island, exploring the galleries, sandy beaches and iconic landmarks. Enjoy a ferry ride to Delos, known as the legendary birthplace of twin gods Artemis and Apollo, and enjoy a Delos Tour featuring the Temple of Apollo. Next, ride the ferry for a two-night stay on one of the most picturesque islands in the world, Santorini, Greece’s most romanticized island famous for its white-washed buildings and hilltop villages overlooking the Aegean Sea. Enjoy wine tasting and learn about wine making in this unique volcanic soil and special climate. Next travel through the fascinating landscape to the spectacular town of Oia where the best views of the crater are found and enjoy an Oia Village Walking Tour. Travelers will indulge in a full day of leisure in Santorini before boarding the ferry back to Athens for sightseeing, shopping and a farewell dinner before returning home. The tour price is *$4,175 per person (double occupancy) and includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles, first class hotel accommodations, 10 meals, professional tour escort, ferry rides, motor coach transportation, and sightseeing with admission to all attractions per itinerary.
