The Howard School
''Life is a joy, so should be learning.'' - Mae Carden
The Howard School is the oldest private school in the Santa Barbara County. Located in Carpinteria since 2000, the school provides a world-class education with individualized instruction in a classical curriculum, resulting in success for every child in the Pre-K thru 8th Grades. Class sizes are small, with no more than 12 students per grade. Teachers target areas of strength and promote growth of the whole child. Emotional and physical developments go hand-in-hand with the intellectual pursuit of excellence in academics.
The Garden curriculum gives children the tools necessary to gain real comprehension and understanding. Math concepts are presented as
an integral component of all studies.. Reading skills are developed through a systematic presentation of phonics, rhythm and visual imagery. The Garden curriculum includes art, music, theater, French, Latin, computers and daily physical education. The campus shares the incredible facility with Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, thus making this school very affordable.
